China's medical market in 2020 is 800 billions pounds (8000 billion RMB), accounting for 20% of the global market, with an annual growth rate of 10%. Among them, diagnostic and therapeutic instruments (mostly high-end) have the largest import volume, which consists about 6 billion pounds (60 billion RMB), accounting for 70% of the total imports. BIOX currently has two high-end products for moisture measuring instruments: AquaFlux and Epsilon. Compared with other similar instruments on the market, AquaFlux and Epsilon are more accurate, more repeatable, more reliable and better in Signal to Noise ratio, as well as have more functions. UKIIC Accelerator has agreed to help BIOX to develop in the Chinese medical and aesthetic market.

The BIOX team emphasised that China has a huge and fast-growing Cosmetic Dermatology market. The cosmetic dermatology products on the Chinese market are mainly low-end with many quality issues. While BIOX’s advanced products developed in the UK lab have tested stable, and BIOX has 15 years experience in the European and American markets. The lack of high-end manufacturers in China makes a great opportunity for BIOX to enter into the market and set up production base. UKIIC Accelerator is set to promote BIOX’s products to Chinese market. In the future, BIOX will establish a production base with research centre in China to develop high quality and affordable cosmetic dermatology equipments, which will be widely used in cosmetic medicine markets.
