Rick Spitz

Member of Advisory Board, Former Vice President of Apple Co.

Rick Spitz-brings more than 25 years of expertise in technology management to his role as Advisor. Mr. Spitz served as Vice President of software for Apple Computer, leading the Macintosh system software organization and delivering key products, including System 7 series, PowerPC, and Quicktime multimedia.

Mr. Spitz is co-founder of ReachLocal, a marketing and advertising firm headquartered in Woodland Hills, Calif.

As Vice President of product development at Sungard's Decalog division, Mr. Spitz headed development for a financial

application used by companies including Citicorp and Warburg Pinkus. He also was group manager for VAX/VMS Software at Digital Equipment Corp. Mr. Spitz holds a master’s degree in computer engineering from the University of Massachusetts, a bachelor’s degree in electrical and computer engineering from Clemson University and is a graduate of the Executive Leadership Institute at Boston University. Mr. Spitz holds a U.S. patent, issued in 2012, for containerized software for virtually copying one endpoint to another.
