The 14th China-UK Entrepreneurship Competition and 2022 Startup Conference - Meet Venture Capitalists & Funders were successfully held

On March 26th, the final of the 14th China-UK Entrepreneurship Competition was successfully held at the University of Surrey, UK. After fierce competition, the Ai4SPACE project led by Professor Gao Yang won the first prize of the championship; The FlexGrid smart grid project led by professor Huilian Liao of Sheffield Hallam University won the second prize; Crane Eagle project of Wenting Ren team of Cranfield University won the third prize with intelligent pest control and soil health management project from Tim Lin team.

The Ai4SPACE project led by Professor Gao Yang won the first prize of the champion.

The team of Professor Gao Yang, the first prize winner, based on the world's leading scientific research strength in the field of space technology for 20 years, provides a unique software platform based on artificial intelligence for creating clean and sustainable space. This platform serves the design and optimization of private or government space mission systems, and will occupy an important share in the rapidly increasing new market of space on-orbit services.

Professor Xiong Yu, the initiator of the competition, said that the "China-UK Entrepreneurship Competition" has been held for the 14th time. The competition helps to encourage outstanding talents to join the entrepreneurial team, help their projects overcome the difficulties often encountered by start-ups and obtain the management experience and financial support needed for the development of enterprises.

At the same time that the final of the competition is fiercely contested in the conference room, 2022 Startup Conference - Meet Venture Capitalists & Funders is also being held in the main venue. The summit was a great success, with more than 600 registered people, and hundreds of investment banks, investment companies and start-ups came to the scene.

The purpose of this activity is to create more opportunities for start-up projects to show and communicate with investors or investment companies, and to introduce more and better projects to investors.

All the participating start-ups were given the opportunity to show and introduce, and the opportunity to get in touch with investors and get financial support. At the same time, they also learned how to show the advantages of their own projects well in the financing process and get the favor of investors.



The response was extremely enthusiastic, and everyone's discussions and exchanges on the spot were also very enthusiastic. Participants expressed the hope that the Organizing Committee would call for more business activities in the future to promote Sino-British entrepreneurial innovation cooperation.
