The launch ceremony of the Magna Carta Island UKIIC Forum for International Cooperation 2021 hosted by Taizhou Bay New Area was held in the UK at 2:00 PM on May 30th (London time). Distinguished Professor Josef Kittler, Academician of the Royal Academy of Engineering, UK; Professor Xiong Yu, Chair Professor and Director of the Centre for Innovation, Production, Teaching and Research, University of Surrey Business School, UK; Dr. Dinis Guarda, President of the British Open Global Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Zeng Wenjing, Founder of Skyline Group, Dr. Salman Valibeik, Imperial College London and other VIP guests were present in London. Ying Liangzhong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee of Taizhou Bay New District, Zhang Jinlong, President of the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce, President of China Industry Research Institute Cai Hongbing and other guests delivered an online speech to witness the official operation of the China-UK Innovation Center in Taizhou Bay. Initiated by the Administrative Committee of Taizhou Bay New Area, Taizhou Bay China-UK Innovation Center has set up innovation enclaves in London's Magna Carta Island and Shenzhen, seeking overseas talents and technology collaboration. The forum was integrated into more than 10 pieces of information about international high-quality education, culture and art, life and health, information technology and other projects, and 3 strategic cooperation and talent projects were signed on site.

Professor Xiong Yu, Chair Professor of Business School, University of Surrey, and Director of Center for Innovation, Industry, Research and Research, University of Surrey, chaired the opening ceremony of the forum.

Then, we invited domestic speakers, including Ying Liangzhong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee of Taizhou Bay New District, Zhejiang Province, Zhang Jinlong, President of the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce, and Cai Hongbing, President of China Institute of Industrial Development. The speakers warmly congratulated the success of the event and looked forward to working together to explore deeper China-UK cooperation in science and innovation.

Then, with our special guest, President of Open Global UK, Dr. Dinis Guarda, founder of Ztudium Technology Platform, gave a keynote speech on "Global Europe Innovation Outlook and Building a Society 5.0 Magna Carta". Dr Dinis Guarda emphasises a people-centered approach that combines game-changing "innovations" such as the Internet of Things (IoT), robotics, artificial intelligence and big data with "solving real problems", with a focus on building a society that makes us happy and worthwhile. Dr. Dinis believes that there are many practical applications of high and new technologies in China, and he looks forward to exploring more cooperation opportunities through the Taizhou Bay China-UK Innovation Center.

Special guest Salman Valibeik, Ph.D., founder and CEO of AI technology company Orpiva, said he was honored to be invited to attend the Magna Carta Island Forum for International Cooperation and to witness the launch of the London station of the China-UK Innovation Centre in Taizhou Bay. Dr. Salman then made a keynote speech on "Future of Social Innovation", showing richer application scenarios of high and new technology with practical cases. For example, through AI technology, we can match web celebrity which is more suitable for the brand image, and plan a series of highly visible copywriting, so as to enhance customers' awareness of the brand, increase the exposure of the product, and provide services for planning activities, creating content and monitoring data.

Professor Xiong Yu gave a keynote speech on the Sino-British Innovation Center of Taizhou Bay, and introduced Taizhou City and Taizhou Bay New Area from the perspectives of geographical location, ecological environment, industrial policy, etc. Taizhou Bay China-UK Innovation Center (London Station) will make full use of the technology, talents, capital and other resources from the UK and other European and American developed countries to attract talents and investment for Taizhou Bay New Area, promote the implementation of scientific and technological achievements at home and abroad, and help enterprises in Taizhou Bay New Area to connect overseas resources and develop abroad.

Introducing supporting technologies, projects and talents to meet the needs of strategic emerging industries such as general aviation, vehicle and key parts manufacturing and intelligent equipment manufacturing in Taizhou Bay New Area; It provides strong business support for the strong chain, complementary chain, optimal chain, international industry-academy-research cooperation and industrialization, the introduction of international cutting-edge technology and overseas mergers and acquisitions, enterprise innovation and entrepreneurship services, and industrial transformation and upgrading in Taizhou Bay New Area.

Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, PhD in Pattern Recognition, University of Cambridge, UK, Professor Josef Kittler, Distinguished Professor and Founder of the Centre for Vision, Speech and Signal Processing (CVSSP) at the University of Surrey, talks about his relationship with China and Taizhou. Academician Josef Kittler has been to China since 1986. He was impressed by the rapid progress China has made and believes that China is a very innovative country.

After the forum, a strategic cooperation and landing talent project ceremony was held at Magna Carta Memorial Hall on Magna Carta Island.

Finally, all the participants attended the inauguration ceremony of the China-UK Innovation Center in Taizhou Bay (London Station), marking the official launch of the Center! In the near future, we will cooperate with many parties to bring "Taizhou Bay Cup Entrepreneurship and Innovation Competition" and many investment activities to you. We agreed that after the end of the global epidemic, there will be an exchange of visits between the UK and Taizhou, so as to build up the environment for international development cooperation.
